Taking a voice acting class is not only a great way to hone your skills, but it is a wonderful way to become a part of the voice over community and to meet others who share your passion. Lastly, when you work alone in a padded foam booth, it is really important to be able to meet others in your community. A class is a great opportunity to do this. It is really important to develop your ear, both when listening to your own work critically and to the work of others. Next, we learn a lot from hearing what others do well and what does not work.
